New York: The Nicole Miller autumn/winter 2015/16 collection took the audience on a nighttime journey through the woods with a rock ‘n roll concert at the end of the path. The intricate prints and patterns were a mixture of photo real woodland scenes and embroidered animals and creatures with dark grounded backgrounds that elicited an almost mystical feeling. Patchwork, pattern mixing, metallic fabrics and multi-colour fur all worked together to create a bold statement. A rugged, rocker edge came through with torn and ripped black and metallic tights, dark nail polish, and a long, skinny silk scarves tied around the neck. One skirt was even 3D printed, showing the modern transition designers are making to use various fabrics and methods to execute their designs. .–Jaclyn Jones
