Dandies Through the Decades in Paper Dolls

Above (Left to Right): Beau Brummell, Oscar Wilde, The Duke of Windsor

Dandy paper dolls features four male fashion fops from history and today, illustrated by Jim Howard.

The historical dandies include Beau Brummell, the Englishman whose persnickety style was so splendid that it drove him from royal favor to bankruptcy, Oscar Wilde, the 19th Century literary genius dressed in a romantic fashion and the Duke of Windsor whose signature style mixed pinstripes and checks and his famously knotted necktie.

Today’s dandy is Patrick McDonald, a New York fashion writer and man about the scene. Recently Patrick McDonald was a contestant on Bravo TV’s fashion design competition show, Launch My Line.

“Four Famous Dandies” (Paper Studio Press, $12) will be released Aug. 1, but advance orders are welcome from Paperdoll Review.
