Dancing In The Street

img_4219as.jpgHey – spotted on the street in New York – a cutie wearing these great ballet flats. She said they are vintage Chanel. I also love her overcoat. In particular, I like the longer-than-normal length and the fact that it’s double breasted. I like the pale pink chiffon flower she is wearing in her hair as well. The sweep of the long coat, the pale pink color of the flower, and the Chanel flats all look quite elegant and feminine without looking too girly. She also manages to look a bit 1940’s retro to my eye without looking costumey. All in all, a delicate balancing maneuver performed well in her dance slippers! xo eddie

  • I love the color of her coat! I’m visiting New York this weekend… maybe I’ll run into you, Eddie!

  • Hey Denise – have a great time in New York!

  • She almost looks like she comes from another era! Those ballet slippers are divine – they look like they’re in great condition for vintage Chanel!

  • She’s cute too!

  • She really did look like she was from another era – you should have seen her in person. There’s an old movie called “Hanover Street” with Harrison Ford and the actress Lesley-Anne Down. Her look here reminds me of the character that Lesley-Anne Down played in this movie – a nurse married to a spy in WW2-era England.
