Damir Doma

Paris: Inspired by exotic travel, Damir Doma incorporated traditional African, Slavic, and Asian dress into his F/W 12 collection. The addition of ethnic motifs, like graphic block prints, brought even more richness to Doma’s luxe material choices and signature layered silhouettes — elongated tunics and drape-y cardigans over cropped carrot pants. Substantial topcoats emulated layers with multiple panels and flaps, while robe-like outerwear felt more decorative in textural fabrics. The defining accent of the collection: lush, petrol-hued furs — which made for opulent vests, or were casually slung over one shoulder.  —Anna Jane Davis
