Cushnie et Ochs

cushnie et ochs spring 2012

SHARP FEMININITY
New York: Barbie inspirations and childhood perspectives of the ideal housewife equated to ultra-prim twists on designers Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs’ signature edgy-sexy aesthetic this season. The duo’s trademark body-con silhouettes were given stiff peplums, and sweet cotton eyelet fabrics were added to the usual leather and silk assortment. In addition to black and white there were candy colors, which had high impact, thanks to monochromatic styling. –Whitney Kessler
