New York: The young designers of New York’s Cushnie et Ochs are transitioning from ones to watch to established label, dealing in a style of progressive femininity so appealing to urban customers. For Pre-Fall many of their models could have arrived straight from the set of a Robert Palmer video, clad in body conscious halter dresses, leather pencil skirts and slicked back hair. Lambskin trench coats and patent leather trim aside, the collection included many softer elements, like panels of red lace and tufts of fur edging a cropped jacket, as well as a-line skirts and sweet contrast collars.— Nina Stotler
