FIERCE + REFINED
New York: Although Cushnie et Ochs isn’t even three years old, the label’s aesthetic is already very clearly defined. Featuring body-con silhouettes, pieced constructions and strategically placed cutouts, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs’ severe looks for C/R 12 further solidified the brand’s sexy-modern image. Metallic fabrics and leather returned from their Fall collection, as did clean button-fronts and pencil skirts. Inverted scalloped edges that were featured on hems and necklines conjured bite marks, and spoke to the primal, nature-inspired theme that often underscores Cushnie et Ochs’ collections. —Whitney Kessler
