Hotel-in-hotel concepts have increasingly become a trendy way at creating different atmospheres within the same property. In Stockholm, Sweden a great example of this exists at the Hotel Scandic Malmen’s recently-opened Creators Inn. The idea was to cater to the needs of a creative traveler through the concepts of function, products and services. The room is split up into three different sections called “the local library,” “the dream study” and “the relaxing spa.” The cleverly designed space is split up in sections depending on what one’s short-term goal may be. The rooms even come with a bike with which you can ride around Stockholm and clothes you can wear in case the need arises. A wall-sized cork board stands behind the desk ready for any forms of inspiration that you may want to surround you during your stay. Finally, a “creative concierge” is always standing by to help contribute to ideas or tasks. Guests can even reserve them for in-room activities like playing video games.
