Today the critically acclaimed Museum of Everything’s latest show, Exhibition #5, opens in Moscow.
Showcasing the results of last summer’s extensive search across Russia for untrained artists, this is Russia’s first and largest survey of contemporary, non-traditional and self-taught art.
The museum curators traveled from Yekaterinburg to Moscow, checking out the art scenes and hosting local shows in Kazan, Nizhny Novgrood and Saint Petersburg along the way.
The Museum of Everything is the world’s only traveling museum that shows untrained and undiscovered artists from the last three centuries. Previous exhibitions have been at the Tate Modern, the Agnelli Museum and Selfridges, and over the last four years more than 300,000 people have visited the annual installations. Having published several award-winning books that accompany the exhibitions, the museum also runs a successful retail brand The Shop of Everything.
Future exhibitions are planned for America, Australia, France and Sweden.
Exhibition #5 is located at the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Gorky Park, Moscow and will run until June 2, 2013. – Babette Radclyffe-Thomas
