Covet It/Steal It: Spring Flats

It’s only May and you’re already sick of wearing the same three pairs of ballet flats (with flip-flops thrown into the mix on weekends). What’s a girl with a penchant for comfy footwear and high style to do? Thanks to the shoe-lovin’ folks here at Stylesight, you can look to the runways of spring for easily copied inspirations!

Moccasins are, hands-down, some of the comfiest shoes on earth. Wearing them is a lot like getting away with wearing slippers outside of the house and they never really go completely out of style. (BONUS: Old, beat up moccasins make great slippers.) Don’t have the hundreds of dollars needed to rock these Marc by Marc Jacobs mocs? Go with the classic: Minnetonka’s $38 version is just as cute, just as comfortable, and if it’s a selling point for you, just as ketchup-y red. Yum!

Jazz hands may not make you look cool, but Jazz shoes sure do! If you suffered through hours of box-steps in Jazz dance class (like I did) these might bring up painful memories. For those of you lucky to have a normal childhood, these $88 Dolce Vita shoes are actually an improvement on Gen Art’s version, as they’re metallic, one of spring’s hottest trends.

Flip-flops + gladiator sandals + t-shirts = these Alvin Valley sandals. Perfect with your new Kate Moss short-shorts, head on over to your local Urban Outfitters to score these $18 (!) wonders, also available in a multi-colored fabric that will make your feet look like happy peacocks. Which is obviously the look you’re going for here, right?
