London: One of the hottest tickets in town and with a front row packed with celebrities, the Topshop Unique design team took us on a very stylish trip – from the English countryside to a glamorous evening cocktail party. Everyday pieces got a luxurious approach – hand crafted lace, plush materials, stroke-able silks and floral embroideries had a Couture-like appeal and elevated tailored separates, evening dresses and shirts. Country references had a new and tough attitude – tweed materials came in unusual tones such us sun-backed clay, hunting boots were cleaner in design and cable knits featured white contrast cuff details and were paired with thigh-flashing skirts. A nod to the 60s and the 90s was palpable throughout the whole lineup – structured tailored coats, jackets and straight trousers were updated in tweed and glossy vinyl materials and mod shift dresses highlighted the retro yet sophisticated appeal of the collection. The evening dresses feautured ostrich feathers, crystals and sequins making the Topshop Unique girl ready to dance the night away. – Diego Sanchez
