COPENHAGEN: The Standard Gets Redesign

Situated near the harbour and Copenhagen’s famous Nyhavn, The Standard Copenhagen has undergone a redesign with impressive results. The clean, contemporary and typically Danish aesthetic of the cultural and gastronomic space was designed by Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi, overseen by restaurateur Claus Meyer and jazz musician Niels Lan Dorky and features modern pieces with a graphic feel, as well as plenty of fresh greenery. The building houses three top-level restaurants and a jazz club, including the renowned Studio which has a Michelin-star, and Almanak, which serves dishes such as warm liver pate with beetroot and lingonberries. –Emily Cater
