Opened earlier this month at famed contemporary art museum ARKEN located twenty minutes south of Copenhagen’s city center, Frida Kahlo- A Life in Art explores the fascinating life of creative maverick Kahlo in a state-of-the-art environment. Housing iconic self-portraits, drawings, diary extracts as well as photographs, the exhibition investigates the fascinating life and work of Kahlo, exploring in particular her complex relationship with identity and self-expression. In addition to the many art works on display the museum also offers daily free screenings of the documentary ‘The Life and Times of Frida Kahlo’ as well as the famous Hollywood blockbuster ‘Frida’ from 2002.    –Anna Jacobsen
