In London, Drink, Shop & Do and Vintage Emporium are two retail spaces that combine a multi-use functionality and a vintage aesthetic.
Set in a former Victorian bathouse, Drink, Shop & Do is at once a shop, social club, and coffee bar. While Bacon Street’s Vintage Emporium is housed in a former 19th century pub and offers a learning annex, a highly curated vintage stock and a selection of food and drink.
The shops are run by young creatives who sought to expand on the burgeoning craft movement, by offering more than just a space to knit. Diverse classes include life drawing, jewelery and clay modeling workshops. Both Vintage Emporium and Drink, Shop & Do have managed to blend a sense of community, low-key learning and a DIY approach to selling vintage product into successful retail ventures.
