Consumer: Mind The Future by W.I.R.E.

Zurich-based think-tank agency W.I.R.E. has created Mind The Future: Compendium for Contemporary Trends – an overview of future shaping trends in the form of a small box of 70 flashcards.

Important developments covering the realms of economics, sociology, politics, technology and ecology are presented, and on the reverse of each card illustrations, statistical information and visualizing graphics analyze and further explain one of ten emerging trends and their possible, future evolution.

Presented as a series of loose and detachable cards enables W.I.R.E. to revise or add further ideas to the compendium over time, reflecting the nature of trend forecasting itself.

Familiar and perhaps not so familiar ideas covered include The Age of Recycling and The Invisible Threat – exploring the possibility of environmental pollution from light and noise caused by 21st century, technological advances such as Bluetooth and internet wi-fi.
