A brilliant, space-themed video by online retailers oki-ni celebrates the launch of their new and sophisticated e-commerce site.
Aptly titled “The Launch”, the video features various oki-ni menswear items, including gold foil sneakers by Maison Martin Margiela and a floral rucksack by Master-piece, as they are shot up into the Earth’s stratosphere. For the stunt, a number of white weather balloons were fitted with cameras, which enabled the garments to be lifted from the Mars-like landscape and into the sky for 20 miles before floating back down to the ground. The video was envisaged with creative studio Just So and includes ending footage that is somewhat reminiscent of Felix Baumgartner’s recent free-fall over the new Mexico desert.
Aside from the video, the oki-ni site itself underwent a fresh and high-tech makeover, featuring editorial, infused shopping, beautiful photography, and an intuitive interface design.
