Paris: The metaphorical monsters we experience in daily life were the appropriately-inscrutable inspirations behind Rei Kawakubo’s latest collection. The clothes themselves featured exaggerated proportions and genius combinations of texture. Though there were reprisals of CDG signatures (i.e. the bump dress), the offering looked fresh and monstrously beautiful. –Joanna Manganaro
