The designer will add optical glasses to her product range next month.
Stella McCartney is on a roll. Following an extremely impressive 2012, in which her accomplishments included designing Olympic uniforms for team Great Britain and being named both Designer Brand and Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, McCartney announced this week that she’ll be launching an optical line in February.
Licensed with Luxottica, who also handles the designer’s sunglasses, the collection will reflect McCartney’s signature masculine-feminine aesthetic and eco-minded design principles. Five initial styles are made from 54 percent natural materials and will be offered in burgundy, taupe, black, teal and tortoise. Price points will fall between $230 and $245.
