Rich, dark blues play an important role this season, driven by the desire for small luxuries. A renewed interest in historical pigments and the origins of colour has a direct influence on this hue.
Lazuli blue has a natural mineral quality inspired by the precious pigment of Ultramarine. This globally recognised colour was valued and prized for its true blue clarity. Deep, saturated blues are also prevalent in the digital space and immersive installations.
Lazuli Blue comes to life when applied to plush textiles, glossy surfaces, glass and metallic finishes. It will be key for occasionwear and accessories, and is a directional pigment for colour cosmetics. The saturation and true blue nature of this colour also makes it perfectly suited to active and outdoor apparel. For interiors, this blue will be applied as an accent or in large volumes for high impact.
