Hennessy cognac, or “Henny”, is embracing its hip-hop rep in a cheeky way, with an exhibition by Jonathan Mannion in Cognac, France.
There are few things mentioned more in the world of hip-hop than Hennessy cognac. “Henny” has been the de facto drink in the rap game for years, and now the brand is embracing its rep in a cheeky way, with an exhibition by Jonathan Mannion in Cognac, France. After working with world-renowned photographer Richard Avedon for a year, the Ohio native and longtime lover of hip-hop was tapped to shoot the artwork for Jay-Z’s “Reasonable Doubt” album, leading to a life spent photographing some of the biggest stars in the business. DMX, Lil Wayne, Aaliyah, Eminem, Ludacris, The Game, Nas, Busta Rhymes and many more have all sat for him, in addition to multiple NBA players such as Kobe Bryant and Shaquille N’Neal, and Magic Johnson.
