Its refreshing when, after a natural disaster when all the press has died down, we see people continuing their support rather than forgetting all about it and moving on. Leading denim blog, Denimology and German brand Closed have been busy working on a collaboration to help those in need as a result of the Japanese tsunami in March. Closed sent Denimology 10 pairs of jeans to destruct, reconstruct and customize until their denim loving hearts were content! Then, when each piece is complete, they will auction off all 10 pairs of jeans to raise money for Japan’s Disaster Relief. The collection includes paint splattered, torn, hand-painted, dip-dyed and even animal-printed pieces. To keep an eye on the auction, stay tuned on Denimology’s blog.
