London: Self-described “pattern and texture people”, Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro built their fall collection around whimsical pattern mixes and decadent embellishments. Leopard and lace photo imagery were blurred into a 17th century-type damask, making the boundaries of each motif unclear. The duo used a simple midi-length sheath silhouette as a base; quilted bed jackets, cardigans and slim coats were layered on top. Items became increasingly dressy and ornate as the show progressed, with a series of elegant beaded black frocks at the finale. Although accessories were kept to a minimum, fancy beaded collars charmingly punctuated a few of the last looks.
