With a collection of “clean” silhouettes in black and white, fabric was the main focus of Todd Lynn’s F/W 09 collection. Velvet, wool and leather provided a level of luxury on blazers, pants and jackets in his signature shapes. Pants were slim and hit right above the ankle to showcase Louboutin booties covered in fringe fur. Jackets in supple leather hugged the body like a second skin. Velvet on blazers and skirts added a level of richness to simple turtlenecks and pants. Accessories were inspired by men’s must-haves from this season, such as long dangling keychains of crystal strands clipped to waistbands and long silk scarves crossed over extra-long jackets. With a collection called “Di Meliora” (translated, ”Heaven send us better times”) Lynn did just that with standout accessories and staple pieces for fall.
