Classically Mixed

London…Paul Smith

Keeping with classic pieces, Smith took all-things-English and mixed them up in a blender. Fair Isles, floral prints, leopard and safari looks all came together as one. Even when asked about his inspiration, the designer replied, “No theme, just classic English things: a parka, a rose print, Fair Isle, houndstooth, tweed.” The collection started with a palette of rose, taupe and burnt oranges in a mix-and-match of patterns. The looks then moved into military greens and blacks in tailored shapes with crystal embellished epaulets at the shoulder. This collection was fit for a lady yet featured structured menswear tailoring.
