Milan: Husband and wife design duo Piero and Miriam Cividini presented a simple yet chic spring collection with subtle details that gave it character. The first look of the show, a classic and sophisticated A-line coatdress, set the tone. The following looks continued in that vein. There were trim collarless jackets, color blocked sheaths, and slim jacquard pants. Lace was used as a lining for linen skirts, its pattern ever so slightly visible. The company began as a producer of knitwear, and this seasons sheer knits were a highlight. Opaque lines in a geometric pattern made them stand out. While the collection could arguably have benefited from a bit more excitement, whether from print, texture, or construction, its classic pieces were appealing in their simplicity. –Joanna Manganaro
