At age 17, Hawaiian beauty Tori Praver went from surfing on Maui beaches to starting a modeling career in New York City as the face of Guess. Since then she has appeared in numerous ad campaigns, been featured in the Swim Suit issue of Sports Illustrated three years in a row and walked the runway during Fashion Week for designers some girls only dream of. With her newly launched swimwear line Tori keeps busy. When she’s not designing, posing for the camera or strutting the runway, you can find her shopping in SoHo, practicing yoga or relaxing in the Hamptons.
Bikram Yoga Union Square
841 Broadway / 1 212 929 8926
Neighborhood: Union Square
I do a lot of yoga. Bikram Yoga Union Square has been my savior in the city since I moved there.
848 Washington Street / 1 212 645 4646
I don’t go out a ton in New York anymore. I love to go to the Standard for drinks, and if I am going to go out, I think it’s really nice on the roof – the view is amazing.
Barneys New York
660 Madison Avenue / 1 212 826 8900
Neighborhood: Upper East Side
I love Barneys; I do most of my shopping there.
SoHo has every shop in the world, so that’s my favorite area to go shopping in New York.
101 Saint Marks Place / 1 212 677 2226
Neighborhood: East Village
I live in the East Village, and I think there are amazing restaurants in the area. I love Café Mogador. It’s Moroccan food. I just love ethnic and all types of food, but they also serve healthy salads, a good mix. It’s the quintessential New York restaurant. It’s small and dimly lit and cozy and it’s a nice place to go to in the winter, and in the summertime, you can sit outside. It’s just comfortable, and I love it.
Neighborhood: The Hamptons
I love to go out to the Hamptons and Montauk on the weekends. I run a lot, actually. To be outside is really nice.
