Citizen Hip: The Coveteur Curates Toronto

Stephanie Mark and Erin Kleinberg, the Toronto duo behind The Coveteur, regularly dip into the closets of notable fashion-lovers, giving followers a glimpse behind closed doors. When not traveling for shoots or hosting dinner parties at home, the two can be found flipping through magazines in Yorkville, getting pampered at Gee or shopping along Ossington Avenue.

Maison de la Presse Internationale 99 Yorkville Avenue / 1 416 928 2328

“Hands-down, this is the BEST magazine store in Toronto. Looking for that rare bi-annual publication from Germany? Go there, they have the best of the best. It’s a feast for our eyes. We could spend hours just browsing through all the magazines…but that wouldn’t be fair, now would it.”

Pizzeria Libretto 221 Ossington Avenue / 1 416 532 8000
“There’s pizza…and then there’s PIZZA. There isn’t much we would stand an hour and a half in line for, but we make an exception every now and then for their killer thin crust. Oh yeah, and they have gluten-free.”

Lost & Found 1255 Dundas Street West / 1 647 348 2810
“We love this little, cute shop that just opened on Dundas Street. All their merchandise is made in the USA, and they also serve a mean cup of coffee. We’re hooked! And they sell Erin Kleinberg.”
Ministry of the Interior 80 Ossington Avenue / 1 416 533 6684
“We don’t have a problem splurging on some Wang or Marant, but when it comes to furniture, we need to think on it. This spot has tons of options for the home, from cute intricate lamps and kick-ass wall décor to really well-made sofas.”
Parts & Labour 1566 Queen Street West / 1 416 588 7750
“We rarely go out…ordering take-out and having dinner parties are more our thing. But when we do, we dig Parts&Labour. The scene is fun on Thursdays. And they have the sickest burger…it’s abnormally good.”
Gee Beauty 2 Roxborough Street West / 1 416 486 0080
“This super-chic location in Rosedale is where we get our nails “did”. It looks like a little county house and is family-owned-and -operated by a trifecta of Canadian beauties: mom Miriam and daughters Natalie and Celene. If perfect brows aren’t enough, head next door to the newly opened 6 by Gee Beauty, where you can find the first Le Labo shop-in-shop in Canada. Watch out Bal Harbour, here they come!”

I Miss You Vintage 63 Ossington Avenue / 1 416 916 7021
“We love the mix of high and low at I Miss You Vintage, one of our all-time favorite vintage shops. Well-edited and perfectly curated, the clothes and accessories are just as good as the charming ladies who work there…we are dreaming of vintage Rykiel.”
