Korean artist and maker Chung Hae-Cho has developed a way to create a vessel entirely from lacquer – which is usually applied only as a finish. Created by the V&A as part of its current exhibition What Is Luxury?, this video documents the quiet poetry of the labour-intensive process, and celebrates the beauty of its outcome.
