In celebration of the success of their Cruise/Resort 12 collection, Christopher Kane and J Brand join forces once again for a collaborative collection for Spring/Summer 13.
Spring/Summer 13 marks the third collaborative effort between the two iconic fashion brands. Christopher and Tammy Kane first met the J Brand team in 2010 when they launched the brand’s 5×5 collaboration supporting emerging British design talent. This was then followed up by his solo partnership with J Brand as part of his resort collection for spring 2012. The success of this initial women’s collaboration has also lead the designer to launch a men’s collection that will run parallel with the women’s line for S/S 13.
Combining J Brand’s denim expertise with Christopher Kane’s innovative designs, the forthcoming collection updates with lace appliques and fractured prints, while soft candy hues take over from last seasons electric neons. In addition to these standout pieces, the exclusive collection also introduces a couple of new silhouettes such as the trucker shirtdress and a longline jacket.
Just like the ladies, the men’s assortments feature a variety of bold and graphic prints. Based on a straight slimline silhouette, the jeans range from photo-real florals and painterly brushstrokes to modest frayed and muted black styles.
