Now that we’re in December I’m sure a lot of you will be thinking about Christmas gifts. We came across the gorgeous Maison Indigo last week at Denim by Premiere Vision and wanted to share these little indigo animals with you. We know we’d like one on Christmas day and we expect a lot of denim devotees will feel the same!

The wee animals are made by hand in the Netherlands and sewn together with love by people with disabilities. They sit at about 30-40 cms tall and come as a fox, anteater, and elephant. Each hand-stuffed toy utlilizes up-cycled scraps of denim, pocket fades, twin needle stitched seams, and has a lovely patchwork of faded indigo tones. Each one will be totally unique, as it comes from a hand-selected batch of carefully cleaned and recycled denim. They even have rivets for eyes!

For more information, go to the Maison Indigo Twitter account, Facebook page, or website.

The toys are available online at Orange Mayonnaise, A Day with Kate&KleveringRewind Design and Knuffles a la Carte from the Netherlands and Ariasato from Korea. Most of the stores will ship overseas as well. Time to drop that hint!

  • Thank you very much StyleSight Blog, for this great post of Maison Indigo with an Orange Mayonnaise link in it !

  • It’s very nice to see this post. Can you add a link to my shop too (Knuffels à la carte), because most of the images are made by us.
    Thanks!

    Its in!
