Ever the advocate of color, Chris Benz pulled out all the stops for a collection fullof saturated brights and exuberant prints. From multicolor polka dots for a palazzo pant ensemble to a vivid striped sweater set, the mood Benz set was decidedly upbeat. Utilitarian details like D-rings and snapped pockets add style and functionality to skirts and jackets, suggesting a subtle safari influence. The natural waist was emphasized with fabric-covered belts and sashes in corresponding colors, seen in both wide and skinny styles. With this playful collection, Chris Benz seemed to thumb his nose at the dreary economy, refusing to let it get him down.
