Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

GRUNGE LOVE
New York: A rebellious spirit was felt in the air at Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony’s  presentation,  inspired by protests of the 60s and the defiant spirit of the grunge 90s. Angsty models in kohl-rimmed eyes and unwashed tresses donned berets and carried cheeky picket signs reading “Time for Sex” and “Think of you.” Live garage music helped set the tone for this youthful collection of Mod-inspired silhouettes.  A-line coats and skirts were paired with prim cardigans and  knit bodysuits (Created in collaboration with Emilio Cavallini) , while Riot grrrl prints such as cherries, double hearts and Egyptian eyes turned these vintage shapes into a contemporary take on grunge. Sevigny’s innate flair for cool is persistent throughout these pieces and is sure to have fans flocking to O.C. to get their hands on one of the prim babydoll dresses or cozy mohair coats.
