New York: Charlotte Ronson looked to her roots this season, crafting a collection that merged her British heritage with the brand’s signature youthful and flirtatious aesthetic. In addition, the designer incorporated “60s feel – a lot of A-line skirts and higher necklines” with plaid wrap minis and stretch jacquard halter dresses. Flashes of skin were PG and appropriate for Ronson’s customer base, using peekabo mesh panels for semi-transparent cutouts. But while the F/W 13 presentation had plenty of cute daytime staples, it was a handful of sporty and slouchy leather pieces, like baggy pleated warm-up pants and snap front blouson jackets in a deep plum, which broke new ground for this popular Junior label.—Nina Stotler
