CHANEL has chosen big wave surfing legend, Laird Hamilton, to be its “ambassador for the newest watch of the iconic CHANEL J12 lineage, the J12 Marine, the first diving watching for the House of CHANEL.”
Over this past weekend the Stylesight Active team was invited out to Montauk, Long Island for the launch party. Sadly, we couldn’t make the event, yet our friends sent over a slew of incredible shots. During the day, Hamilton’s entire family (even the little ones), including his wife and professional athlete Gabrielle Reece, took guests out paddle boarding.
At night, the party moved to New York City hotelier, Sean MacPhearson’s hottest beach spot, the Crow’s Nest. (MacPhearson, by the way, is an avid surfer…so no surprise the party was held at his place.) Those in attendance included Bruce Weber, Jimmy Buffett, Ingrid Sischy, artist (and Montauk local) Julian Schnabel along with fashion “it” couple Mark Ronson and Joséphine de La Baume. Where in addition to celebrating the watch, guests toasted the publication of Susan Casey’s book, The Wave.
Here’s a bit of information about the CHANEL J12 Marine:
“The J12 Marine Watch is the newest innovation in the CHANEL J12 family.
