CFDA Fashion Awards: Designer Duds

You’d imagine that the people who decide what the world wears would look flawless at all times, or at least for major events. You’d be wrong. The designers came out swinging in their own creations at last night’s CFDA Awards, with mixed results. From the ever-growing Celebrity Fashion category here at Stylesight, here are several of the night’s best (and worst) dressed designers.

Diane von Furstenberg looks like she’s wearing the most expensive cotton candy in the world.

Tommy Hilfiger, you’re so…shiny! And what lovely slippers you’re wearing… out in public…to a black tie event. Please tell me this was meant to be a costume or something.

Maybe Tommyboy should look to Menswear Designer of the Year Ralph Lauren’s effortlessly debonair whites for some style inspiration. Classy! Who else wants a Tom Collins?

Cynthia Rowley, looking beautiful. Love the fabric and the asymmetrical neck, but might have suggested heels.

Doo Ri Chung shows us how it’s done. Flawless.

Who is that man with the horrible haircut and gaunt face? Oh, it’s Marc Jacobs! At least his tux is nice.

This may be the most normal I’ve ever seen Betsey Johnson look, and that wrist-wrapping clutch is obviously the perfect accessory for throwing peace signs.
