Seeing that Eastpak has a history of collaborating with designers such as Rick Owens and Kris Van Assche, Saint Martins student Nicomede Talavera decided to take a chance and offer his own services to the company in 2010. Eastpak was impressed enough by the young upstart and agreed to produce a limited edition of ten of his designs. All of the pieces are a combination of white, grey and black leather with washed and PU-coated nylons and polyesters, a combination of sportswear and luxury fabrics. The shapes of the bags are created using darts, and Talavera deliberately designed a variety of shapes and sizes to address every luggage need.
