New York: It seems that Phoebe Philo, who single-handedly brought back minimalism during her first seasons at Celine, is trading in the style for something new. She kept the expertly tailored jackets and pants, but added in kaleidoscopic jacquards and chintzy florals, making for the most vibrant collection she’s shown for the label thus far. The piecing that emerged for F/W 11 was revisited for separates, bags and a standout coat in vibrant tones of brick red, Yves Klein blue, lemon yellow and nude, and a highlighter hot pink was used for trousers and a skirt and shirt ensemble toward the end of the show. Standout accessories, including extra-wide pilgrim belts, the aforementioned patchwork bags and chunky white flatforms are sure to appeal to fans of her must-have clogs and perfect leather tote bags. –Joanna Manganaro
