Catwalk trend alert: Garden Party

Richard Quinn

From Rejina Pyo, through to Erdem and Richard Quinn, designers on the London catwalks have been tapping into the growing occasion-wear market with whimsical silhouettes.

Opt for loose-cut shapes in semi-sheer chiffon and organza to underpin femininity.

Embellish soft silhouettes with pretty garden floral sprig prints or embroidery.

For a more contemporary, youthful edge, add tied spaghetti drawstrings and play with sheer and opaque layers.

Fashion month can be overwhelming. With so much coverage on social media it’s easy to feel inspired, but how can you decipher which trends to test vs. which to invest? Head here for all of WGSN’s catwalk offerings to help navigate you through the social media storm.
