Cascading Ruffles

New York…Rebecca Taylor

In a mix of deep somber hues and purple tones, asymmetrical ruffle design details were a unifying element on skirts, tops and jackets in the recent Rebecca Taylor collection. The key colors included light charcoals, ash blues, and tonal browns ranging from taupes and extending into indulgent chocolate hues. Along with these neutrals, a bright beautiful fuchsia was seen on frilly blouses and silk chiffon dresses. Blouses were matched with looser-fit plum pants; the fuller shape controlled with a cinching self-belt. Knits showed in various forms including distressed knit jackets and a bulky crocheted knit top. Fur was found in vests and cropped jackets. The same leopard print that has popped up other collections this season appeared on pants, jackets, and accessories.
