Caroline Larsen applies paint in a style that resembles tapestry stitches, cleverly deceiving the viewer into believing they are intricate tapestries, when in fact they are oil paintings.
These artworks look as if paint has been woven onto canvas, as thick brush strokes are layered and applied in rich colors to depict realistic scenes of burning cars and cargo ships.
Caroline is part of the General Hardware exhibition in Toronto until August 31st, if you are lucky enough to be in the area to cast your eyes on her incredible artwork.
