London: Who says shoes can’t be out of this world? Each season Sophia Webster is a must-see invite as she creates an alternate universe to showcase the personality behind her accessories. Sophia creates shoe butterflies and is master of modern day branding. This season combined mind-bending prints with intricately engineered shoe patterns and a love of Gwen Stefani in the No Doubt 90s era. From ‘Carnival Queens’ via the circus and into outer-space these are accessories with a sense of humor, from ringleader leopards mixed with print and fluffy high heels. Playgirl feathers to showgirl bejeweled pumps and rhinestone embellished boots and Sophia evolved her signature butterfly wings and paraded these alongside speech bubble clutches, embroidered DM style boots with velvet ribbons and Coca-Cola homage embroideries. Set in a fantasy dream world – part Memphis, part outer-space – here the shoes and accessories took centre stage on Planet Sophia and deserved all the attention. – Camilla Morton
