While in Berlin we visited the first edition of Capsule in the city’s Mitte District. It was great to head to a smaller, more intimate show after the gigantic stands at BBB and we picked up some great denim inspiration for a report that will appear on the site later this month.
Our favorite denim highlights from the show were:
Eat Dust: Amazing biking denim dudes from Antwerp, Belgium, who base their denim design on motorcycle detailing and super authentic, durable 13.5oz Japanese indigo selvage.
Woodwood: They always inspire us and this season they gave us camo denim joggers and sunset vertical dip-dyes to drool over.
Big John: The original Japanese denim brand is launching a fantastic new 70s polyester slack for S/S 12.
Warriors of Radness: Determined to produce the ‘nastiest, baddest looking denim’ for S/S 12 that reminds them of their 1980s youth (we love it!)
And of course, let’s not forget our bonkers denim favorites, Naked and Famous, who are always experimenting with the weirdest, most unrealistic and downright crazy denim ideas and…. succeeding wonderfully! We love their new scratch-and-sniff jean and caught wind of a new high end, twisted yarn suit in the making. We filmed Brandon talking about some of the products, so enjoy:
