Capsule Las Vegas: Denim Trade Show Highlights

So we’re in Sunny Las Vegas for the trade shows here and have just wound up an inspiring few days in the city of sin! Today we’ll bring you some Capsule trade show highlights and tomorrow we’ll focus on Project and Workroom.

One of our favorite brands from last season were showing again; Remi Relief. The Japanese brand mix  beautiful fabrics such as linen chambrays and well-laundered indigo shirtings with a playful yet frugal charm: colorful embroideries and embellishments mix with grain sack stipes in indigo and ecru, above left. We also loved their indigo jersey pieces, especially the amazing printed T shirts. Some of the images have already hit our Image Library,  but there is more to come!

Court is another Stylesight favorite and they presented a great range of retro shorts alongside their 70s flares. Check out our recent Brand Profile on the company. We are in love with the Lurex Jacquard star shorts pictured above!

And Momotaro jeans impressed with their collaborative Koe De Oshigoto Amime illustrated jeans- only 10 pairs are being made (see top images).

One of the big trends we’ve seen emerging for S/S 12 is the denim blouson and bomber jacket. We love the offerings from both Warriors of Radness and Marshal Artist in chambrays and color-blocked denims (top row, above). The inspirational and fun Michael Paradise showed us his latest workwear offerings from the Stronghold  – an amazing selection of selvedge caps and some killer new worker pants. We also discovered a new deadstock-inspired archival brand resurrected from American workwear roots: Carters. They used all the best branding, fabric and attention to detail- we were bowled over.

Tune in tomorrow for Project and Workroom highlights!
