Calvin Klein Jeans announces a new collaboration project with Myteresa.com for an exclusive selection of iconic re-issues.
When you think back to denim the `90s, Calvin Klein’s provocative campaigns will be the most poignant imagery that springs to mind. Known for pushing the boundaries of acceptability, Calvin Klein’s sometimes shocking and always newsworthy advertisements were the key element to the designers success. This summer the American label teams up with Mytheresa.com to celebrate the iconic styles from the era with a selection of exclusive re-issues to be sold via the web store.
Entitled The Re-Issue Project – the capsule collection sees eight of the label’s most iconic designs resurrected in limited editions, including the Kate Moss boyfriend tapered jean, the Brooke Shields high-waisted skinny jeans, and sweatshirts, T-shirts and denim jackets all with the CK logo. The campaign images star none other than Lottie Moss, the younger sister to famous sibling, Kate. The photos were lensed by Michael Avedon, the grandson to Richard Avedon, who shot Shields in the Nineties Calvin Klein campaigns. Kate Moss was shot by Herb Ritts alongside Mark Wahlberg for the images that catapulted her to fame. Check them out along with some of CK’s other ’90s campaigns here.
“Lottie truly represents the essence of the Calvin Klein girl. Intriguing innocence with utter beauty – it was wonderful to photograph this beautiful young lady!” Avedon says of the images.
Prices for the collection range from $105 to $415 in price and will be available on Mytheresa.com from July 17th.
