New York: Calvin Klein Collection’s Francisco Costa continued his exploration of minimalism for Resort, offering up the clean lines and simple shapes that have garnered him a loyal following over the years. Costa updated his signature look with on-trend midi lengths and inverted pleats that gave items controlled volume. The halter neckline was a key element, first appearing for a jacket and dress with blazer lapels and continuing for elegant column dresses for evening. Super-skinny belts loosely drew in the waist, giving looks a subtle hourglass shape, and silver metal trim at necklines and sleeves added an architectural edge — all projecting the understated cool that one has come to expect from Costa. —Joanna Manganaro
