is visiting from L.A. It might be the last time we have a chance to hang out for awhile because her album is coming out soon and she’s going to get busy being a famous pop star and stuff. On Sunday I met up with her and Suzuya
and we went to designer Benjamin Cho
‘s Morrissey/Smiths party at Sway
. This night has been going on for a minute but it’s still the go-to spot for a boogie on Sunday night. We stopped by Beatrice Inn
for a bit first, which had a predictably cute crowd but wasn’t as much fun as Sway. Cho’s party has become the unofficial “friends and family” night at Sway so we were not surprised to see Lynda Garcia
, the MisShapes’ Greg K.
, the 66Sick girls
from Screaming Mimi’s, and Chloe Sevigny
with Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon
. (Perhaps they were discussing her new line for OC – or the great article about the line in the new Teen Vogue
?) We also met up with the Canadian babe squad
– aka Christina
– who were visiting from Vancouver. Chrisitina designs the flirty Canadian fashion line Christina Darling
– you can see photos from her latest runway show here
. Best tracks of the night – “Everyday Is Like Sunday”, “Sister I’m A Poet”, and “How Soon Is Now?”.
On Monday night – New Year’s Eve
– I went with Rory, Suzuya, Christina, and Leila to the Rated X/Trash
party at Don Hill’s
. We had a blast – which is not always guaranteed on NYE. It was a trashed up, mashed up, sleazed up end to the year – and an introduction to all the fun that’s to come in twenty-oh-eight. My photos below…x Eddie

I hear people say that plaid work shirts and lumberjacks are a big trend this winter, but frankly I have no idea what they’re talking about.
