Calligraffiti Type – Niels Shoe Meulman

Stylesight’s Graphic Team loves the amazing “Calligraffiti” of artist Niels Shoe Meulman.

Dutch artist Niels Shoe Meulman is a graffiti artist that has a love for the forgotten art of calligraphy. Using various media to create his work, Meulman gives a gritty street edge to his beautifully crafted typography. His large-scale Calligraffiti stand out as a unique mashup of old and new. Brooms, fat marker pens and forks are used to create some of his works.

One of his most recent projects saw him create an amazing art pieces called ‘Sweeping Beauty II”. Using powerful flicks of his wrist, Meulman creates trademark type line details that add real movement to his pieces.
