The Brazilian telecom company, Vivo, teamed up with 100 artists to transform 100 phone booths across São Paulo into unique, eye-catching pieces of art and prevent further vandalism.
The artists had free reign to paint and illustrate their imagination; consequently the collection is fascinatingly varied, from quirky ladybird shells to bizarre, colorful sculptures. Three months into the project, the fixtures remain intact, and the peculiar hooded structures are now inspirational art forms, proving popular with local communities and tourists.
