As the winter season officially comes to a close and spring emerges in full force, we can’t help but get excited about all of our favorite warm weather sports. So, when C9 by Champion for Target invited the Active Team to check out its new Spring Collection and hit some golf balls at Chelsea Piers in New York City…the answer was of course, yes!
We’ve always been a fan of the C9 by Champion collection from Target, as it speaks to a group of athletes, novice and established, who participate in diverse range of activities from running to training, practicing yoga or playing tennis and golf. The pieces can be mixed or matched and can seamlessly transition.
The collection we saw at Chelsea Piers included both men’s and women’s pieces from its Spring/Summer 2012 range. On-trend colors like neon oranges, fuchsias in an ombre gradient, along with hues of cobalt and lime green, clearly showcase what’s currently hot on the market right now. The line also boasts streamline silhouettes and Duo-Dry™, which wicks and speeds evaporation to keep athletes cool and dry, along with Power Core™ Compression fit for support and ease of movement.
Additionally, some of the key details included ruching on hoodies for women and strategically placed ventilation panels on key regions of the body in cool mesh cutouts.
After scoping out the goods, it was time to get our hands dirty with some clubs. It’d been awhile since we’ve hit any golf balls, but after a few swings, we were as good as gold and thinking about the next time we could head over to Chelsea Piers!
