Three reasons we loved it…
1. The 100 % natural philosophy. Created by the award-winning vegan chef and author of bestselling cookbooks, Chloe Costarelli’s signature restaurant is the epitome of her “Eat Well. Eat With Purpose” mission. A lifelong vegan, Chloe promotes the philosophy of pure vegan eating through delicious plant-based recipess. The restaurant is casual, proves veganism is no transient trend and sort of makes you forget you might usually order a burger.
2. Pure Ingredients. Chloe specialises in nutrition that’s tasty. All ingredients are seasonal, locally-sourced and freshly prepared in-house and that includes condiments, sauces, cheeses and desserts – all made from nuts and spices. If you take a close look at the menu, you’ll find “bacon” is in fact shitake bacon, “feta” is a herbed tofu and burgers are a mash-up of tempeh-lentil-chia-walnut or black bean-quinoa-sweet potato. Plus, the 100% vegan, gluten-free desserts are to-die-for (yet so healthy!). Enjoy salted vanilla caramel, roasted banana bourbon, not to mention kale cookies and raspberry tiramisu cupcakes.
3. The Venue: The space reinforces the idea of indulgence – just because there’s no meat, dairy or gluten doesn’t mean your making a sacrifice. Think colourful tiles and a lively vibe, featuring raw wooden tables, brick walls, as well as two hanging wicker cocoon chairs and humorous wall hangings of puns including: “Kale Me Maybe?”.
